Get hands-on with satellite engineering in this interactive workshop led by Edward Robinson, Founder and CEO of Robinson Aerospace Systems.
Held on Monday, 31 August 2026, the day before the CubeSatPlus Conference, this three-hour workshop will take place in the Design Next Studio on the UNSW campus.
Working in small teams, participants will assemble a replica CubeSat, explore the function of real spacecraft subsystems and onboard sensors, and collect and analyse live telemetry using dedicated software. The workshop provides practical insight into electronics, programming, physics, data analysis and systems engineering, while demonstrating how CubeSats are designed, built, tested and operated for real space missions.
Designed for students and early-career participants with an interest in space engineering, the workshop bridges classroom theory with authentic engineering practice and highlights career opportunities across Australia's growing space sector.
Places are strictly limited to 24 participants.
